FOSSphones

your number one source for linux phone news

FOSSphones is our site dedicated to bringing the latest news and developments from the world of FOSS in mobile, whether it's dedicated GNU/Linux phones or AOSP distributions. We also do a FOSSphones App Highlight every Roundup, where we give the spotlight to a few free software mobile apps that we have either been using, or that someone from the community showed to us.

what does FOSSphones do?

Every month, we do the FOSSphones Roundup where we gather the top headlines from around the world of FOSS in the mobile space. Usually, these things are related to things like new hardware releases, updates from different software projects, mobile app highlights, and more.

When the opportunity presents itself, we also like to do hardware reviews and distribution reviews, testing out new projects and seeing how they're progressing along. This also allows us to find bugs in some of these projects, and be able to help contribute in the reporting/fixing process for those bugs if it's something in our wheelhouse.

All content on FOSSphones is also mirrored over Gemini at the FOSSphones Gemini capsule (open this link with a Gemini browser, such as Lagrange or Amfora).

FOSSphones also has a Matrix community for discussing the latest in mobile FOSS news and general watercooler chat.
